After spending two decades in the HR trenches, across large enterprises and nimble startups, I realised something deeply troubling.
Despite using multiple HRMS platforms (enterprise-grade ERPs, homegrown systems, and modern SaaS tools), there was always a disconnect.
Not in the “bells and whistles.”
But in the basics.

The Real Problem No One Talks About
Every HRMS I worked with promised to solve one big pain point — payroll, performance management, attendance. And they often did.
But what about the frontline user experience?
What about the HR admin juggling spreadsheets to bridge the gap between policy and software limitations?
Let me give you a simple example: Statutory compliance demands accurate attendance data. The HRMS had a trust-based attendance feature. But the company followed biometric and geo-tagged methods.
The result? A half-baked workaround. Manual Excel entries. Extra hours. Frustrated HR teams. Eventually, even compliance risk.
That’s just one example from a long list of small-yet-critical features that were either missing or poorly implemented.

Why This Happens?
